Strawberry Sundae ~ Sweetness In a Tall Glass

Got hold of this recipe in Vicky Ratnani's 'Cook Eat And Party' show on ndtvgoodtimes channel.
A simple, easy and delicious sundae, which can be prepared instantly.
 
You Will need
Fresh Strawberry 10-12
Strawberry Icecream 1 cup
Chocolate Block few(I used diary milk)
Chopped Almonds Few
Water 1/2 glass
 
Method
Wash and chop the strawberry and puree with fresh water.
Take a tall glass and layer with strawberry puree, strawberry icecream, nuts and choco blocks.
Voila!! that's it your done... Serve Chill
 
Variations
You can replace strawberry icecream with vanilla flavour

Carrot Juice ~ Instant Energy in a glass

I'm back after 2 years.................. Was busy with my personal life, as I was carrying and now with a yr old toddler, who has made my life beautiful, colorful and busier....

However, that hasn't stopped me in trying recipes, but not on a regular basis, I go for easy recipes these days, so that I can spend more time with my lil angel. Working on some changes on the look and feel of my blog..........

So here is an instant energy drink, which is so revitalizing and full of energy.


For this you need
1 carrot grated
1tsp grated ginger
2tsp lime juice
2 tsp sugar

Method
Blend all the ingredients and refrigerate, serve chill with some ice cubes.....

This is a simple way to make your kids have carrot...

Cardamom Milk

My hubby loves cardamom milk very much and many times we end up buying from shop. This time i thought i will give this delicious drink a try and must say it was refreshing and tasty. My hubby loved it more than the readymade one.
 
Ingredients
Milk 2 glass
Cardamom 3-4
Sugar 3-4 tsp
Saffron strand 2
 
Method
Peel the outer skin and powder the cardamom.
Boil the milk with sugar, cardamom powder with the outer skin.
Keep stirring for 3-4 mins or until milk starts to boil.
Now add the saffron strands and gently stir.
Remove from heat, allow to cool completely, refrigerate and serve chill cardamom milk.
Enjoy your cardamom milk.
 
Suggestions
Cardamom milk can be served either hot or cold.
Chill cardamom milk can also be served with some crushed ice.
My cardamom milk tasted good with low fat milk also, however you can try with full fat/cream milk.

Orange Tea

Do try this simply amazing tea someday which has a subtle flavour of orange accompanied with a beautiful aroma.

Ingredients
Dry Orange peel(outer skin) 2 tsp
Tea powder 2 tsp
Dry ginger powder 1/2 tsp
Milk as required
Cinnamon 1 inch
Cardamom Clove powder 1 tsp(Both mixed)
Sugar 2 tsp

Method
Bring water to boil adding orange peel, once it softens add rest of the ingredients except milk and sugar, simmer and leave it to boil for 4-5 mins. This way the flaovour gets mixed well.
When you see bubbles, add milk mix and boil for 2-3mins or until bubbles form.
Finally add sugar mix strain and serve hot.
Sip away your orange tea right away :) :)

Suggestions
Peel the orange skin and sun dry for 1-2 days, preserve this in an airtight container.
Use and when required.

Herbal Green Tea

Do try this amazing healthy green tea sometime.

Ingredients
Green tea bag 1
Cinnamon 1 tsp
Lime juice 1 tsp
Honey 1 tsp

Method
Boil water add powdered cinnamon and let it boil for 2 mins.
Transfer the water to a cup, add the tea bag, lime juice and honey and mix well.
Dip the tea bag 4-5 times and remove and enjoy your herbal green tea.

Mango Oats Smoothie

Ingredients
Mango 1 ( I used Alphons)
Milk 1 cup
Vanilla Icecream 1/2 cup
Oats powder 4 tsp
Pista and Almonds finely chopped, 1/2 cup

Method
Remove the outer skin of the mango, except nuts blend rest of the ingredients to smoothie consisteny
That is slightly thick.
Add nuts to the glass pour little smoothie add some nuts and smoothie and finally garnish with the remaining nuts and serve Mango Oats Smoothie chilled.
Relax on a sofa and enjoy your smoothie with your favourite movie.

Suggestions
You can add any nuts of your choice.
I have added nuts in beginning and in between to get the crunchy feeling while having my smoothie, however if you dont wish to have like that, you can simply add at the end.

Pink Milkshake ~ Healthy Drink

Ingredients
Beetroot 1 cup (grated)
Carrot 1 cup (grated)
Pomegranate 1 cup
Milk 1 glass
Rosewater 1 tsp

Method
Blend everything drain add rosewater mix and serve immediately or chilled.
Sugar is not required as beetroot, carrot and pomegranate has sweetness, if you want more sweet add sugar and blend.

Pink Blossom

Ingredients
Pomegranate 1
Buttermilk 1 glass
Sugar 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
Chaat Masala 1/2 tsp

Method
Remove the outer skin and blend pomegranate sugar and buttermilk.
Transfer this to a glass add cumin powder and chaat masala and garnish with a mint leaf.

Suggestions
Add sugar according to the sweetness of pomegranate.
Honey can also be added instead of sugar.
Pomegranate seeds need not be grinded finely.

Apple Buttermilk

Ingredients
Apple 1
Buttermilk 1 cup
Sugar 1 tsp
Cumin Powder 1/4 tsp
Chaat masala 1/4 tsp

Method
Chop apple roughly and blend with sugar into coarse paste.
Add Buttermilk and blend once.
Sprinkle cumin powder and chaat powder before serving and serve Apple Buttermilk chill

Grapes Lassi

Ingredients
Black Grapes 2 cups
Curd1 cup
Milk 1 cup
4 tspsugar
Ice cube 1

Method
 Blend the black grapes, curds, milk and sugar in a liquidiser.
Pour the lassi over the ice-cubes.
 Serve immediately
If required you can garnish pistachios and raisins before serving, however this lassi tastes good without any garnishing also.

Chill Cucumber Lassi ~ Simple and Tasty Lassi

Ingredients
Cucumber 1
Curd 1 cup
Salt as per taste
Sugar 1tsp
Cashew 3-4

Method
Peel the outer skin of the cucmber, and grind with little salt, once done add curd and sugar and grind again until everything blends well.
Transfer the cucumber lassi to a glass and add chopped cashew pieces.

Masala Chai ~ My Way

Ingredients
3 tsps tea powder
Milk 1 cup
Sugar as per taste
Fresh Ginger(finely chopped) 1/2 tsp
3-4 cardamom pods
2 cloves
2 black peppercorns
Small piece of cinnamon

Method
Bring 2 cups of water to boil and add tea powder and all the masala items mentioned.
Keep stirring at regular intervals, boil for 2mins.
When the water is boiling, add milk and sugar and lower the flame so that the spices are absorbed.
Filter the tea into cups and enjoy your hot Masala Chai.

Apple Dates MilkShake

Ingredients
Apple 1 large ( finely chopped)
Dates 8-10(deseeded and finely chopped)
Milk 2 glass
Honey 2 tsp
Ice cubes 2

Method
Blend all the ingredients together to a semi thick consistency.
Serve chilled or immediately with ice cubes and dry fruits if required.
Enjoy Apple Dates MilkShake for your breakfast or during evenings

Buttermilk Bubbles

Ingredients
 Yogurt/Curd 1 cup
Grenn chilly 1
Ginger 1 inch
Salt as per taste
Sugar a pinch
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves few
Oil 1 tsp
Mustard 1/2 tsp
Hing a pinch
Lemon Juice 1 tsp

Method
To the blender add curd, sugar, salt, coriander leaves, green chilly, ginger and turmeric with little water and make sure everything has blend properly.
Drain the yogurt mixture in a bowl.
Heat a tsp oil add mustard and hing when its done add to the yogurt mixture and add lemon juice.
Mix everything well and serve buttermilk bubbles chill or immediately.

Spicy Masala Buttermilk

Ingredients
Plain buttermilk 1 cup
Oil 1/2 tsp
Mustard 1/4 tsp
Cumin 1/4 tsp
Green chilly 1
Coriander leaves few
Curry leaves 2-3
Salt to taste
Pepper powder 1/4 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tsp

Method
Finely chop green chilly, coriander and curry leaves.
Pour buttermilk in a large bowl, add salt, lemon juice and pepper powder.
Heat oil in a pan add mustard, green chilly and curry leaves, fry for 2mins or until mustard stops spluttering.
Pour this to the buttermilk, mix everything well, and garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve spicy masala buttermilk immediately or after refrigerating.

Banana Lassi

Ingredients
Ripe Banana 1
Plain Yogurt 1/2 cup
 Cardamom Powder a pinch
Honey to taste
Golden raisins and pista 4-5

Method
Peel and roughly chop banana.
In a juice mixer, blend together chopped banana, plain yogurt, water, cardamom powder and honey into smooth juice.
Garnish with raisins and pista pieces.

Suggestions
Ice cubes can also be added before serving.
Any other dry fruits of your choice can be added for garnishing.

Apple Milkshake

Ingredients
Apple 1(Red)
Milk 1 cup
Honey as per taste
Pistachios few
Cardamom Powder a pinch

Method
Roughly chop apple and remove the seeds.
Blend together apple, milk, honey, cardamom powder into smooth juice.
Serve apple milkshake with pistachios and ice cubes.

Orange Lassi

Ingredients
Orange 1
Curd 1 cup
Sugar 3 tsp
Honey 2 tsp
Badam and pista 2

Method
Peel the skin, remove the seeds and clean the orange and cut into medium pieces.
Beat the curd and keep aside.
To the blender add orange slices, curd and sugar and grind evenly or until all the ingredients are blended.
Drain the lassi in a bowl and add honey and finely chopped badam and pista pieces.
Serve orange lassi chill with few badam and pista pieces on top.

Suggestion
Taste the orange before grinding and according to that adjust honey and sugar.
Other dry fruits like raisin and cashew can also be added to the lassi.

Ajwain Methi Buttermilk

Ingredients
Plain Buttermilk 1 cup
Ajwain/Caraway seeds 1/4 tsp
Methi seeds 1/4 tsp
Salt as per taste.

Method
Dry roast methi seeds and grind together to fine powder with ajwain.
In a mixing bowl whisk yogurt, add the ground methi and ajwain powder, salt and mix well.
Serve ajwain methi yogurt chill.

Cucumber Buttermilk

Ingredients
1 cucumber grated
1 glass buttermilk
1 green chilly
1/2 tsp cumin/jeera seeds
salt as per taste
1 tsp oil
1/4 tsp mustard
1/4 tsp hing

Method
Take the cucumber peel the outer skin and grate it.
To the blender add grated cucumber, buttermilk, salt, green chilly and cumin seeds.
Make sure everything is blended properly.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard, when it splutters add hing and pour this to the prepared cucumber buttermilk.
Serve immediately or after refrigerating for sometime.
